Houdini Huyser and other Trivia

yes, we have an escape artist :)

41C, say it with me yes, FORTY-ONE Celcius

That's the average daytime temperature at the moment. It's kinda hot outside ... and with that in mind, the aircon buzzing behind me, I totally snorted when I read this gem in the local newspaper:

Another heat wave expected to hit UAE during weekend

Riigggghht .... {say it like Dr. Evil, makes it more fun}

It's the little things ...

That make me happy, I've not been able to get Pattypans in the three years that we've been here. I totally squealed with delight, when I found some at my local supermarket. Green ones AND yellow ones AND Babymarrows!! Kaydin thought I was very funny and laughed right with me, clapping his hands :)

And Marinda found Nestle Caramel Treat at Spinney's in Dubai:

It's the small things I tell ya! And yes, there shall be chocolate cake, real soon!

More small things:

We have house plants now, it just makes me happy :)

And some plants in the garden, this too, just makes me so happy :)

see, little plants, growing :)

That darn housing issue ...

yet AGAIN. I'm not getting into the nitty gritty of it, just wanted to ask for some happy toughts/prayers/real-estate angels to please be sent here, so that this time, it works out for the better!!!! I should have more news sometime in July.

Pamcecka & Kaykin:

He can't say Francesca and she can't say Kaydin, hence their names for each other :) P&K had a lovely, albeit short visit the other day. They are totally adorable together:

"Potty Tain"

Yes, we're potty training, and today, he liked it so much, he made like 4 pooh-potty's, lol!! I encourage and do the "potty dance" and say "look Lara and Jackie" and then we clap our hands and it's all round good fun. Ok, I'm sure it's fun for everybody that's watching me, 'cause I'm sure I'm quite the picture when I do the all important potty dance.

Twilight .... sigh

oh yes, I'm THERE. Have read them all, saw the Twilight movie and am totally, ridiculously hooked on it. If you've not read it, just do it. Even Gideon contemplated reading it after watching me in "vampire-trance" for about a month, I think he found it quite amusing that I had whichever book I was busy with, with me, most of the time. I even read while waiting for the water to boil, it was a bit of a compulsion, lol!

I do have to share how absolutely adorable the G-man is though. I borrowed Twilight from Chantel, read it in about 4 days and then told him, that if he "happened" to notice the movie over his lunch hour, then to please bring it home ... he did, we watched it and after informing him of the tiny little fact that there are three more books in the series ... he bought them ALL and I got to indulge completely! Can of course not wait for the New Moon movie!

That's us for now, we send much love to all

I hated the movie but decided to read the books cos everyone was raving. Life ceased to exist until I had finished them all. Now reading The Host but that is sooo not good.
