Translations

Here's a list of words that some of you may not understand, I'll try my best with the translations

Lekker - loosely translated as "nice", though it's more like "HELL YES, that's good".

Gallas - and arabic word that means enough / finished

Habibi - arabic, means darling/sweetheart/lovey/sweetie

Inshallah - arabic, "god willing", and they will use it in every possible and impossible situation. Mostly when you feel so frustrated you can scream

Braai - a BBQ

Nogal - "none the less"

Stoep - veranda-type area

Mugg & Bean - South African coffee shop franchise of which we have two here in Abu Dhabi

Hamdulla - Arabic expression meaning "thanks be to God"

EWAB - Extreme Work Avoidance Behaviour

13 years ....

My love, I didn't think it was possible, however I love you more and more everyday, except of couse when we have words and I don't get to use all of mine, on those days, I still love you, I might not like you very much though.

I'm grateful, every day that you are in my life. For all the jokes and the belly laughs for the shared memories and the vision we have for our future. I'm so thankful that you are such a grounded, loving, down to earth guy, you inspire me to be a better person.
