Pirates, Pirates everywhere

Yip, it's skull and bones print on everything it seems. The K-mans birthday was on Saturday, before school started, so I arranged to do his class party on Tuesday. Luckily I got organised in early December and bought the stuff for the party bags. The cupcakes as previously mentioned, happened on Monday evening.

To start, here are the ingredients:

Butter - from Denmark

Cocoa - from the US

Sugar - from Japan

Baking powder and Soda from the UK

Flour - from the UAE

Eggs - from the UAE

Sour cream - from the US

I always think it's so interesting where everything comes from that we buy here, because they have to import most of it. So hey, thought I'd show you guys.

Anyway, so while the cupcakes were baking, operation "Party Bags" commenced:

16 Loot bags, inside: gold dubloons, a pirate map, an eye patch, a funky look-through thingy that would be loads of fun after a glass of wine, some choccies and sweeties, I threw the whistles away that came with the bargain-pack DIY, make up your own loot bags, set. I'm sure the parents will thank me, if they only knew ;)

And back to the cupcakes:

and frosted:

oh yes I DID THAT :)

So on Tuesday morning I carted two kids and all the party stuff to school. I believe it was a success :)

Tonight, I'm baking his birthday cake for the party on Friday, packing yet more party favour bags and getting ready for Friday morning. Twelve kids and their parents, you may wish us luck.

We send much love to all.
